Grant Couchman
Head of Academy at the Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre and is delighted to be teaching the acting component of the Certificate IV and Diploma courses. Grant has been involved in the entertainment and theatre industry for over 30 years and has appeared in over 30 full scale musical productions and plays, various television commercials and Australian feature films.  Grant is a graduate of QUT and holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries and Bachelor of Education.
Laine Loxlea Danaan
Professional performer and teacher Laine Loxlea-Danann is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University, attaining a Master of Music Studies, majoring in vocal pedagogy. Laine is a vocal teacher for BAMT and the Conservatorium of Music, teaching across the styles of Musical Theatre, Pop, Rock, Jazz and Classical. She has worked professionally in the music and performance industry for 28 years.
Tim O'Connor
Tim is the CEO of Harvest Rain Theatre Company, Australia's largest not-for-profit youth arts organisation. As a producer and director, Tim has worked with some of Australia's most respected performers, having directed Daryl Somers in GUYS & DOLLS, Rhonda Burchmore, Rachael Beck and Eddie Perfect in INTO THE WOODS and Frank Woodley, Simon Gallaher, Jon English and Julie Anthony in SPAMALOT (which won a Matilda Award for Best Musical in 2014).
Dennett Hudson
Award-winning, highly sought after Music Director and mentor, Dennett completed his Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education. Credits include FOREVER PLAID, RENT, THE PRODUCERS, THE LAST FIVE YEARS and Harvest Rain productions, working on the 30th anniversary production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, INTO THE WOODS and Arena productions of HAIRSPRAY, GREASE and currently THE WIZARD OF OZ – THE ARENA SPECTACULAR.
Claire Owen
After studying Classical and Contemporary dance with Gold Coast Dance Theatre, Claire was fortunate enough to enter the professional world performing and creating as soon as she could. Credits include: Dance Captain for Palazzo in Germany, 2018 TV Week Logies, A Very Naughty Christmas, Bonnie Lythgoe’s The Adventures of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, Princess Cruises, Dance Captain on MSC cruises, Aerial Angels Lumiair in China, Harvest Rains Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat and JCS.
Angela Harding
Angela graduated the QLD Conservatorium of Music in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Classical Voice. Angela has since gone on to pursue a career in musical theatre, cabaret, corporate and private music entertainment, band work and concert performance. Angela is also a singer/song-writer with experience in writing for cabaret and within the pop-music genre.
Cienda McNamara
Cienda McNamara is an award winning actor and director who has worked with many of Australia's renowned and emerging performing arts companies both on stage and off. Credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, A Doll's House, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Minefields and Miniskirts, Assassins, Anything Goes, Children of Eden, Antigone, The Taming of the Shrew, 35mm A Musical Exhibition, A Little Night Music and many more!
Callum Mansfield
Skilled Choreographer and Director, Callum has worked on national productions of THE KING AND I, DIRTY DANCING, MARY POPPINS and THE MIKADO. For the last seven years Callum has worked as Harvest Rain's resident choreographer on all four arena shows including CATS, HAIRSPRAY, GREASE and THE WIZARD OF OZ along with mainstage shows including INTO THE WOODS, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, CHICAGO, CURTAINS, LEGALLY BLONDE and so many more!
Leeane Schmidt
Lee (Leanne) has worked in the dance and theatre industry for over 20 years as a teacher and performer. Lee has toured Australia and worked with professional contemporary company Zeta Dance Group, and professional cabaret performer, Deana Peher & Company. She has performed in musicals such as Singin’ in the Rain and The Little Mermaid, and has also choreographed numerous musicals and cabaret productions.
Taylah McLennan
Taylah has always had a passion for musical theatre, recently receiving both her diploma and certificate IV in Music Theatre at BAMT. She has also always loved and prioritised fitness, acknowledging the important correlation between health and theatre. After just recently graduating, Taylah is super excited to come back to BAMT this year in a very different capacity, as a fitness instructor and assist the students in their theatre journeys.
Merryn Addison-Moore
Merry is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University, attaining a Master of Music Studies, majoring in Vocal Pedagogy. Merryn is a vocal teacher for BAMT, and Matthew Flinders Anglican College in addition to her home studio teaching Jazz, Pop, Rock and Musical Theatre. Merryn has been performing for over 25 years and has been involved in singing and songwriting on several Gospel albums.
